Washington State public education funding

Our Intent:

1) To document Washington State school funding inequality and inadequacy.

2) To inform EFMG members, Washington State PTA members, and the public of education funding issues.

3) To mobilize WSPTA members interested in advancing WSPTA's #1 2006-07 Legislative Priority:

Redefine and Fully Fund K‑12 Education: Establish an updated definition of basic education, and basic education funding formula, reflecting current education practices and requirements.

· Simple Majority Ballot Issue EHJR 4204 ("Local Support for Local Schools")

· Studies show School Funding in WA State is inadequate, unequal and unreasonably complicated.

· Ed Funding Presentations.

· What We Can Do to mobilize our WSPTA membership and resources.
